Cultural Competency Training

Building cultural awareness together.

TMM provides cultural competency for the Tulsa Police Department on a regular basis, and has also provided training for the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office, Jenks PD, local Homeland Security and FBI personnel, Philbrook Museum, as well as hospice and medical professional staff.

Trauma-Informed Training

Understanding trauma. Strengthening response.

TMM conducts trauma-informed training for local organizations.

Classes at David L. Moss Jail

Supporting transformation through education.

TMM supports the work of volunteers who teach classes for women and men at Tulsa County’s David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center. These classes offer education and encouragement to promote self-esteem, healthy relationships, and mature responses to crisis and personal challenge.

Chaplaincy at the Family Safety Center

Here to listen. Here to serve.

TMM provides a chaplain at the Tulsa Family Safety Center, Tulsa’s emergency response center for persons who are coping with the violence, despair and destruction of abuse. Our chaplain does not represent any particular religion but offers compassionate support to those whose spirits are broken and in crisis. This position is, to the best of our knowledge, the only interfaith chaplain at a family safety center in the nation.
